You can use:

NOT to define words which should not be in the results.
Use * as a wildcard for partial matches
Search for any terms or use query as entered
Search for all terms
Find Posts from a Registered User:
Use * as a wildcard for partial matches
Step 2: Set areas of message boards to search in
Search in Forum...
Search in Catagory...
Search in Topic... title and message message only
Step 3: Customize how search results are displayed
Show Results from what timeframe:
Sort Results by:
Set Order to: Ascending Descending
Display search results as: Posts Topics
Display the first... characters of posts
