Hey guys, figured I would showoff a great find. I have been searching for this for a while now, and finally tracked it down in an acution I just won the other day. The Homeland Beta! It came in a monochrome black and white cover sleeve. Check it out, you can see it sitting underneath the regular retail release:

I can't wait to tinker with this when it arrives and see if the Beta is still networkable.

Nice find! Smile

I wonder if it has something different in-game.

Cool congrats,

someone else that has one, the best feature is online is unlocked from the start. Havent tested the secret command in this version to see if it can still be taken online.

The test disk version isnt the full game it’s only certain storys from what i remember. The saves can't be mixed between the 2 versions either so no taking your characters to the retail version sadly. In the test version theres a an error report code menu that you can send data back to chunsoft as it shows this in the manual.

Heres a few closer pics of the disk, looks like your version is the other one you could get that was bundled with the broadband adapter as i can see the different text on your box. If your lucky it might still have its larger outer box too. Very Happy

Originally it could, it was a cut down version of the full game with online available from the start so players could test chunsofts network for bugs. Not tried the codeword to see if this version is still allowed online.

Originally the trial disk was available from chunsofts site you filled in your name & address & you were then picked at random, there were two versions of the test disk there was the stand alone version (mine) & there was a boxed set version bundled with the broadband adapter (lord nikon's)

Does the Homeland network trial have an offline and online mode? or is it online mode only?

The purpose of acquired the beta is for both research and when I am a fan of a franchise I like to acquire all of its variants. The larger part is the research though. I am simply curious if it is still networkable, and what differences the beta had over the final release.

Just out of curiosity did you ever find out if it's still network able?

Surprised Nice. So your copy came free with a broadband adapter?
I envy thee.
They really need to put out another HL for the Wii.
It looks like a good game caught in the Wiis shadow.

Is it still networkable and what differences have you found between this and the final release?
