For those of you visiting this site that are NEW to gamecube online gaming. Here is a little Information on requirements needed to get started with GC PSO.

Requires an existing broadband or dialup internet connection:

Requires the purchase of a:
gc broadband adaptor: $35.00
gc dialup modem: $35.00

The game carries a monthly subscription fee of 8.95 a month.

As far as keyboards go you have 3 options:
PC Keyboard Adaptor(many are homebrews, gotta search the net for them) $??.??
Datel Power Board: $19.99
Official ASCII keyboard(the keyboard controller hyrbid) $80.00

(P.S. does anyone have any links handy for the PC keyboard adaptors? i know there have been some home kits, and people selling their own assemled convertors, but are any official sites selling them?.)

I got my keyboard adaptor on ebay.

And good small list. I only pay 1500yen ($12) every 3 months though! Laughing

I play JP PSO EpI&II though.

I got my KB adapter from www.play-asia.com. It's a two in one PS2 and PS/2 Keyboard adapter. It was about $10, I think, check for your selves though, my memory isn't too good in my old age Razz Or, you could just get really really insanely good at software keyboarding, but that sucks Razz

how is this convertor? does it perform well? let me know, i was thinking of getting one. Because if you think about it. It could definatly come in handy. What if your on the move, and you don't wanna have to bring a KB. You can just borrow a friends kb, and jack into the adaptor. Also what if your 1 controller short for playing games, and someone there has a PS2? you can just jsut use a spare ps2 controller as an extra controller. Problem solved Smile So a very very good peripheral to have on hand.

or you could always wait til Q4 2003 for Sammy to make a keyboard like the controller keyboard hybrid which is around $60. i saw a picture of it somewhere
