Well the first time I beat the game was at 70% so it shouldn't be that hard for you.

metroid prime is definitely done dirt cheap...woohoo! anyhoo, what was the last thing you did in prime before returning it? it's definitely worth buying and the back-tracking isn't as bad as some ppl make it seem.

I finally got around to starting to play this game. I must say that the control scheme has thrown me off a bit. I guess I am slowly getting used to it, but it feels so awkward playing a fps perspective game without a second joystick or even a set of strafe buttons like on the n64 to help you change the camera perspective and turn. Like trying to turn in this game feels like a chore haha. I have only completed the first level of the game, so I am not going to judge the game yet, but in all the talk about how amazing this game is I never hear people mention the awkward controls. I must state that I have not played much of the older metroid games, so if this was done to replicate how they feel I would not be able to appreciate that.

Although I agree with how people credited this game for its atmosphere. I spent like 20 minutes in the first level just looking around and messing around haha. Anybody else spend some time shooting those floating space rocks in the very first section of the game ? To get the feel of the primary weapon I shot down more than a few haha.

Also, I like how you scan enemies and see info about them. I scanned the space pirates from afar and saw that they were wounded from parasites, assumed they were friendly guys lol and when I walked closer was surprised that they started shooting at me haha.

yea i totally love metroid prime. played through it and beat it with joy. its been a long time since then but now that i think about it, the control scheme was a little different, but MP was a different sort of first-person game altogether since it was more of an action adventure set in a first person view point.

i agree i very much enjoyed scanning things in the environment and learning about the Metroid world as you play through. i became facinated and only wanted to know more.

i really liked rolling around as the morph ball too!

Haha, I'm still playing it. I think I'm at 22% done with as many scans as I can find and acouple secret items and just story progress.

Mixwizzard, is this your first play through? or a second run?
