I know that Nintendo isn't all that pro-online gaming when it comes to their own games; but just like how Sega has done with PSO, is their any other possibility that other third-party developers will follow Sega's path and pursue online games for the GameCube, or is that an outlook that will most likely be on their successor to the GameCube?

There is a possibility a game could be online for cube by a third party. Everyone is kinda just waiting for one to make the first move I guess.

I really wished the new Splinter Cell game would of been online for GameCube. Would of been a must-buy for me had this happened.
Now I'm thinking of getting the PC version once I've upgraded. -Mytho |

Isn't supposed to be online????
|

Not for GameCube.
PS2, Xbox and PC versions are online though. -Mytho |

They've already confirmed the GC one offline? Damn.. Well, I could still get it for PS2 or PC, PC preferably.. The original Splinter Cell came with my new graphics card, and it ran pretty good. Let's just hope they don't up the graphics a lot on the new one...

I'm also going to get it for either PC or PS2. I really want to upgrade my PC. I have a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 and it still runs most games pretty well, but that's mostly due to all the services I've shut off under Windoze XP. My next card is either going to be a Radeon 9700 PRO or a 9800 PRO, depending of which of the two is on sale.

I have strong reason to believe that the GC version of Splinter Cell 2 will in fact be online, with GBA connectivity to boot. Some very credible inside sources are insisting it is so in fact. But as always, we can only wait, to know for sure.

If the GC version is online, I will obtain a Broadband Adapter in addition to buying a keyboard and the game. Seriously.

That would be tight! | ||||

Holy ish. I guess the GameCube version WILL be online.
XPlay showed the trailer and Morgan said "The best part about the new Splinter Cell is the online mode for ALL THREE CONSOLES." Adam commented on how it would work and supposedly it'll only support Broadband. Consider me stoked and preordering ASAP. -Mytho |

Yea. It's going to be cool. Now let's just hope that other third-party developers play "follow-the-leader" and begin creating other online GC titles. I would not be amazed if there is some already lined up that we don't know about.
