Hello there

I got a PM through the other day from someone asking me to play them on SUPER SMASH BROS MELEE on the GameCube and he sade you have to do something with the GameCube Version of the PSO to allow you to play online...

Not to sure if anyone has said this already but I don't wanna bump up posts..

Kind Regards

I doubt that, but I haven't actually messed with ControlSim yet, so I can't really say for sure. There will always be lag in any sort of connection, even with a direct LAN connection between two Gamecubes running Kirby's Air Ride.

it is not like mario kart or kirby were each frame is synched
the network code is much better
specific things like player coordinates and score are synched
which makes a much smoother online experience Very Happy

I had a featured news post which you can still access via the front page on it. It's not in a state that is user friendly, and only works with some games...sort of..and still has bugs. It is no-where near ready for public consumption yet. Let alone regular gaming.

You need PSO, and then you load an application across the internet through PSO's browser, and then you have to set all these configurations in the config file and map the controls and blah blah blah. Like you would spend so much time getting it all figured out, only to realise when your all done "great I got it working, but no way in hell I'm going to find someone else to try it against, let alone have the patience to walk them through it."

Long story short the best advice is to wait and see what happens.

(All links to the forums where it was being worked on have been down recently)

Does PSO have a built in webbrowser? Or it it something to set up your web connection?
