go on, it's okay to admit it. it looks cool Cool. if the buttons on the console weren't raised, it would look better to me, but nintendo should have released a beautiful thing like this in conjunction with the famicom themed GBA system. it's nostalgically delicious!

i can't remember where i got it from to be honest Confused . i browse around, save pictures, load them onto my photobucket account and look over them later. to me it looks like an artist rendition maybe, but i thought it was neat enough to share. here's a link to someone who modified their gamecube to fit inside of an nes though and that one's real.

In regard to the mod you linked to, I don't like the idea of the disc spinning free in the air like that. Someone could mod the Wii to fit into an NES case and the disc could be loaded in through the cartridge slot. Now there's an idea.

i agree about the disc being in a bad place since it's uncovered and exposed. it would make me worry about my gc disc and the lens itself since they have no protection from dust or inadvertent damages. definitely not the best design, but still i give points for creativity.

Hmm I don't think they sell stickers since this is something Nintendo would have legal rights over, and mostly third parties sold console sticker themes.

Tecnically you could just dismantle a gamecube and paint the console with a certain theme. Wink Though to really get it done right I would try and make it look as pro as possible. You really don't want a blotchy paint job. Unless of course that is what you are going for or something hehe.

you could just do it yourself, use permanent markers it might not look has nice has a professional job but its a cheaper solution...and you wont really have to take it apart.

That makes me cringe just thinking about the aesthetic nightmare that would result.

... I will do this. When I get my GCN in a week or so here, I'll paint it up like this mockup and post my REAL result. The controller looks dumb, so I won't do that part, but I WILL report back with the console!
