Well as usual, my not researching things to the fullest has come back to bite me in the rump. And now that there is nothing I can do (i.e. return the game), I come to the people of OC.com for help.
About a month ago I ordered my copy of PSO 1 & 2 plus (JP), after a long wait (it was back-ordered), it finally came in the mail. So excitedly I load my Freeloader up and pop that bad boy in and get the english set up. That is where my problems started. All the menu's for setting up the BBA are in Japenesse. But after some playing around (mashing buttons) and some thanx to my very simple internet set up, i got that online. But here is where my question comes up... now I connect to the Sega.jp site, and i found the part where to input my JP CDkey and Access code... but when i push the 2 buttons, i come to this screen that looks like an error. although it could be the exact oppisite. my question is, has any1 successfully gotten a JP PSO game online from the US? Or better yet, is there anyplace that you could tell me about that might be able to walk me threw getting the HL? although i did find the "buy a hunters licence" option in the main menu, it broght up this "for sure" error, and promted me to turn off my GCN. so im not exactly sure, but could i just get a web based translator and translate the JP site and then go that route? and if that might work, does anyone know of a good (and cheap) web translator (hopefully one that is kinda accurate  ??

The one person I think that could help is Link00seven, who I believe played from the JP version of the game.
I also did some digging and found 2 guides that cover both of your questions, however I'm not sure they are fully relevant to the problem you are having. your a classy guy nikon... thank you so much for all that info... i guess i didn't dig far enough into the forums of PSOW. well today is my day off from work so i guess ill be comming home after school and hoping right online and playing a bit.... and assuming that all goes well i might be posting about a GRAND ARIVAL    lol.

When I was purchasing my Hunter Licence, it does that for me to. I winded up in a japanese site. I just ended up putting my hunter licence though the sega site with my pc. I have the english version of episode one and two plus. | |||

well i got my PSO + JP online and got threw 11 steps of the Hunters licence guide... but the guide didn't have anything on the personal info page.... i figuered out where my Bday and name goes.... but the other stuff (2 fields) need to be filled and i dont know w/ what. so until i get them figured out, ill have to just quest offline  |
