I love sports games. However, I found out that X-Box 360 version of Madden only allows two players, against each other. Now, I don't know who was the genious with that idea, but is this true for the GC as well?

Supposedly it is 1-2 on every single platform.

That blows. I heard the PS2 version had multiplayer, but that has to be the dumbest move by EA. I was going to buy Madden, cause you can't go wrong with sports, especially co-op. But if I can't go online, and I can't play a game as teammates with my boys, I'll pass. What a waste...

The PS2 version has online. But as usual only for a year or so.

Why do people waste money every year on new sports games? If you've played Madden '99 you've played Madden '07

If you've played John Madden Football for the Genesis, you've played Madden 07. Laughing

That's true. At least the 2K series kept things fresh. I remember playing Madden 98 on the Saturn. I still have pretty fond memories. Besides a friend who's pretty much like myself who enjoys games of the past, it's hard getting a few players around today to play the older gamers. But honestly, how can you include multiplayer support for so long, than cut it? Did 06 have multiplayer support?

Well, I would try checking out some sites like GameSpot and start looking through reviews. If offline multiplayer action is what you are after, you shouldn't have a hard time finding a football game on the cube with 4 player offline support.
