Does it deter anyone else from buying SNES RPGs? I've been looking at games and wanting to get some good RPG's and other stuff, but it makes me wonder if i should bother because battery-backed saved data will disappear over time. i dont think i'll be able to save a game once a battery dies either. sure, i could replace it, but that requires a little more effort than i think i'm willing to put forth.

i love super nintendo and the games, but i dont like the idea of my save data being erased at an undetermined time. some SNES games are getting to be almost 20 years old now (and that just made me feel very old too Laughing)

anyone else have thoughts on this?

I hadnt looked into nes save batteries. But I read about nes ones and how they go out. I never really thought about how game cartidges did saves before this. I also am worried about gba cartridges since they use batteries also.
