what is game boy advance used for in metroid prime?

It does one of two things. If you beat Metroid Prime you can connect them and be able to play through Metroid Prime using the "fusion suit" (as seen in the header). If you beat Metroid Fusion, you can connect them and unlock the original NES Metroid Game, for play on the GameCube. The GameCube NES unlockable even lets you save your progress directly to the GameCube memory card.

does metroid prime 2 have any connectivity features? the fusion suit from metroid prime looks awesome! i was looking at this and said to myself: wow, now that's a cool incentive to play through these games and get them linked up. although, since metroid prime is a first-person adventure game, you wouldn't get to see samus too much except when you go in and out of the morph ball and during cinematics. i'm glad you added that picture of samus on the header, nikon! looks great.

i grabbed up a link cable from game crazy for $2 bucks a few weeks back and opened up metroid NES. it actually plays pretty good on the cube.
