Well folks, I'm sure glad I picked up my copy of Mario Kart Double Dash!! last week. Cause warppipe just released their beta 3.0! The current download is windows compatible. There will be a Mac version released within a week.'

The release supports region free gameplay. JP,US, and EUR cube gamers can play with no problem. Both Mario Kart Double Dash!! and Kirby Air Ride are both supported.

It is recommended that you read the documentation here:
http://www.warppipe.com/wpdocs/beta/

So who's up for some Mario Kart? Very Happy

Download: Warp Pipe 0.3 (Beta)

Just picked up a copy of MK:DD. Give me a week or so to get a BBA, and I'll be there. (Yes, I know, I should have a BBA already; I'm lame.)

This should be fun.

I would play if I had a Broadband Adaptor and DSL. :-/

I don't think I'm alone when I say I would give up a kidney to get DSL access.

Oh my. This is an excellent Mario Kart. Methinks it is time to learn all about Warp Pipe.

And I do hear you.

But maybe, just maybe, the ol' "broadband to computer to computer with internet connection sharing and dialup" thing will work here. (It's used to get broadband-only games online for people with only dialup.) It might be ugly, but it might at least work.

We shall see...

It would be unplayable. You could get the systems to connect....but the frame rate would be like at 5 frames per second. It would probobly take you 20 whole seconds just to select a different option during setup.

Gotcha.

Thanks for the detailed post about Mario Kart and broadband requirements, by the way. Very helpful. From what dslreports.com says, it looks like my provider just made the cut. As soon as my BBA gets here, I'll be there.

(This game is just so damn good!)

I think I'm finally getting Broadband either this month or the beginning of next month. I can't wait to go Karting, but I need to sell my Gamecube Modem off first. Bummer. Sad
