Ive been thinking bout buying episode 1 and 2 for gamecube and ive been looking at all these sites for where to buy it like ebgames, gamestop, toysrus etc..... and everywhere i look it either gives me a preowned copy or an "out of stock" answer. Crying or Very sad Why would everywhere that im looking it says the same thing? Is it because Episode 3 is out now and they figure episode 1 and 2 is now useless? I dont know but about 2 weeks ago ebgames.com had a NEW not preowned listing of the game and now its gone and im staerting to wonder about that! If anyone knows anything about this game as far as where i could buy it new like which retail store, i would be greatly appreciated thanx.

If you can't find it in those stores its gonna be kind of hard to find any place else...May I suggest Best Buy perhaps....BTW I don't think its because of EpIII coming out because like 3 months ago me and a friend were looking for it in our local stores for it but no luck...We then found it on GameStop... Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

EBgames has it near me, so does Software Etc. (they suck though). Actually when I got Episode 3 yesterday EBgames had 8 copies of episode 1 and 2 and only 5 of Episode 3? Shocked However I have noticed that it is sold out many times.

Try these links to purchase it online:

http://www.epinions.com/Phantasy_Star_Online_Episodes_I_and_II_GC

Edit: Actually many of these sold out but a couple say within a week or two it should arrive.

Absolutely. There are a lot of people. PSO is neverendng, I know many people who only play PSO... meaning NO other games. In truth there is no other game like PSO in existence, especially if you include ep3 into the mix. If anyone knows of an online Japanese stye RPG that is similar, let me know...

Until then, myself and many more like me will be playing PSO 1,2 and 3 Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Again, absolutely. Just look at the Dreamcast community. There is still community that plays DC PSO on the European servers w/ the PAL discs, and it's pretty active. It's admittedly only somewhat viable, but still it's around and kicking, so I'd not worry about the GCN side dying anytime soon. (And if you've got $17 to spare, you might consider buying the PAL PSO v1 on DC and coming over to play with us for a while for free until they shut down the servers.)

And besides, Episode III is a totally different thing from Ep 1&2. It's basically a card game; it's not the same PSO as the others. If you're into that, you've got a new game to play. If not, you don't care. Either way, Ep 1&2 are still a totally separate from Ep 3 and they're not going anywhere anytime soon, I'm sure.

I heard that PSO v1&2 was going to become scarce after a while since v3 has been released, but I don't see why since you can use the same hunter license on it with v3.

Mainly I use broadband, but sometimes I do use dial-up, and then I use my schools isp which is free for me, because im a student. I think there are some free isps that work but you may have to update/change username/pw alot. I know there are isps out there for under 10$ a month. If I find something I'll post.

I too noticed a slight shortage in finding these. I mean its not IMPOSSIBLE to find but the majority of shops are out, I called around and many of them said its hard to find and ever since 3 came out 1 and 2 has flown off the shelf. I did manage to finally find an EB that isnt well populated that has 5 copies. It also is still currently holding its $49.99 value, atleast in the stores I called.

If the supply of PSO 1&2 is to the point where you can't find it at all, then I suggest you hit up on Ebay or other auction sites. There is bound to be some copies on there for a reasonable price.
