This is sad news indeed, but I wasn't holding my breathe.

Well, that possible expanded single player adventure intrigues me.

What the?

This is like old news repeated for the 100th time, its still a RUMOR, the rumor thing in the video game world is wayyyyy out of control now. Just wait for the official word, yes I agree its likely not to have multiplayer or lan but this is still a R U M O R. And this is the reason I still have not bought the Xbox one.

I never had my hopes up for this one....I hope it does have an expanded single story though if it doesn't at least have split screen...

Taken from IGN

Sadly, the Xbox version's innovative online multiplayer mode will not make it into the GameCube version in any form (it wouldn't make sense as a splitscreen mode, and there are too few users of the system's system link capability to justify the added development time), but the single-player experience definitely looks solid so far.

Yea its shame but not suprised, however it totally burns my ass how they can say "there are too few network users" WELL FUCKIN GEE!!! MAYBE THATS BECAUSE NONE OF THESE PUSSY COMPANIES HAVE THE BALLS TO START SUPPORTING IT!. I decided a while ago my cube is for Nintendo only, pure originality and true video games, not multi platformers as it will ALWAYS get the shaft.

I agree with Kontact. If no one goes ahead and makes a tittle online for GC. No one is ever going to develop it. I kinda guess thats why NINTENDO always gets the worst things in games that are online.
