Unplug the cable modem from the wall for about 5 minutes, unplug it from the computer, plug it into the gamecube BBA, plug it back into the wall. There is no "making IPs," they're grabbed from a pool of IPs that your ISP owns. | |||

Or, buy a router  They work real well, I almost never have to reset my modem, and my PC and *insert game console here* can be online at the same time |

I was just posting the poor-mans way to get online, but either way works. Just depends on how much time/money your willing to spend. |

You can pick up a 4-port router these days for about $50, so its not "to" bad.  |

i tried unplugging it from the pc and wall and just connecting it to the GC. It didnt work. I'll try again though. I also didnt mean to say it makes the ip address, i mean that it just doesnt recieve one. I've tried a bunch of stuff but i'll do some of your suggestions. |
