The game itself is great! Even almost 3 yrs later I still love the game, but thats not the problem.

It's the damn community. I can't go online anymore. Unless one of my friends are on, which doenst happen very often anymore, the rest of the community sucks. It is like the final days of Dreamcast PSO, when the only people left were idiots, hackers, etc.

I think PSOGC is gone, personally. No one plays it, and those that do are idiots. Such a shame, because the game is still quite fun >_<

Comments?

Well man I don't think I'm an idiot because I still play the game when I have time of course, but I don't think you should say that everyone that still plays the game is an idiot. At the same time though I can understand where your fire is coming from. I happen to play only with my friends and we usually play in an empty lobby. When they are not on I play on Deneb 9 even though is started getting filled with nOobs and some hackers. The reason why this game is almost ruined i think is because of these hackers, I could tell you that they found a way to get around and make almost every code possible. Robots with Techs????
I think that you just need to go to places where there is not a lot of people and also try to make legit games when you play, you could meet some nice people. That's how i met the people that I always play with. But at this pace PSOGC is going it won't be long where hackers start (NOLing, i think it is) in the lobbies. It is such a shame that people have to ruin everything even with something so simple as a game. Sad Sad Sad

I'm like DarkLink18 here, whenever I seem to go on PSO, I try to find some people I know. If not, I end up just logging off and doing something else. Neutral

Sorry, I was using "everybody" just as an expression. I know good people reside, like all of you guys, whom i've played with in the past.

My two friends and I strictly stick to offline now. And with 1and2 Plus, thats more reason to. I got online wit dreamcast still a bit. cause the community there isint complete hell. But always a 3 player, occasionally 4 player offline is great fun. And I got used to it, its the only safe, hack free, n00b free, inviroment left for pso.

I have to agree, but only $8.95 a month I always renew it. If someone wants to play, I will. I can never seem to log on and just play nowadays, I have met some PSOWers that I can play with but it gets annoying have to do tons of runs of one quest or area just for and item that I won't get is annoying Mad

Yeah, not many people know how to play this game. I've always felt rushed when playing and doing the same quest 1000 times for one "rare" isn't fun for me either. Yet near the end of the U.S. DC's life the legit people were probaly the best community PSO ever had. I mean these people were still playing without acting like those losers that weren't in school and didn't have jobs(which I believe made up mostly all the gamesharkers, besides the 7 yr olds Wink ). Noone cared about rares and it was much more mellow. You'd hop on and maybe see 1 or 2 of your pals that day then chat for awhile and then kill some boomas.

Whoa!!! Haven't heard from you in a long time..but back on topic..I remember that last year when I joined this board we would schedule meetings at least once every two weeks. Almost all of my friends in PSO have left or when they are on I can't be on so it's really hard nowadays and all these hackers don't help either. I remember Altair 4-1 was always empty mostly only us. Now there is a lot more people at nights and there is usually some NoOb or hacker joining teams that is why I recommend locking your games people and only play with people you know. It's ridiculous what we legit gamers have to do now to stay protected. Sad Sad Sad

Yeah Altair 4-1 a year ago was our little piece of heaven, but some jackass decided to have PSOWers meet there, when they had Antares 8. So what if no one goes there anymore. You have that, we have this. Leav us the fuck alone

I dont know, I try to keep an active HL, but it just seems pointless anymore.

If PSOBB was released here, I might go on that, for the simple fact it's pretty much hacker-free and it has alot of new features not seen on the console versions. However, PSO with a keyboard still doenst feel right...lol.

A simple PS2 controller -> USB converter is all that's needed and the game won't know the difference. I know many people who use an adapter to play FFXI on their PC with the PS2 controller.
