Upon returning to GC PSO, I went to the homepage on the game disc, and I saw the usual blue one, in Einglish. when it fully loaded though, it went to another page in full Japanese, what the FUCK? | |||

Yes, Sonic Teams domain (sonicteam.com) which hosted the sites is all f'ed up...
Same thing happens if I try to connect with the DC version and go to the Jp site...a different Jp site with nothing to do with PSO.... and the US DC site is already offline... |

oh, and can someone explain what happened to everyone? Why is everyone on Antares 5, not Vega 1 or 2 or Deneb 9? Is it dieing? Where's the 500 people? | |||

The reason why I was turned off is because all the equipment needed for an enjoyable gaming experience is not so much priced high, but just hard to obtain. If anyone knows me, they know my parents cringe whenever I mention eBay around them. Stores in my area have gotten better though. I now see hybrid PS2/GC keyboards for sale at major retail locations. But to put it in perspective, for the DC, I just waltzed into EB and purchased all I needed to enjoy myself online. -Mytho |

Guys, PSO on gc isn't dead, and its not dying because of "hackers".
The reason why gc pso's numbers are down a bit from usual is because PSO Blue Burst is out... A whole lot of ultra hardcore pso junkies are off on their PC's playing Blue Burst. I was just on pso gc ep1&2 last night and there were about 600 people on total. *shrugs* seems like plenty to me GC PSO has been at the top of PSO, dominating for almost 2+ years now. It's been the #1 PSO community in the world for this entire time period. Sonic team is still supporting it and putting updates up, white day stuff goes up in 3 days. Also, a lot of people can only play a game for so long before they move onto something else, like world of warcraft....pso blue burst...or some other games. I totally expect the numbers to drop a bit. However they won't drop to a low low low number for a long time. Also, I'd just like to say I can't stand it when people say, "yea such and such is dying, its dead". For one it totally comes off like one is saying people should all just give up, leave, quit, because a number of other people decided to drop support for the product. The only way a game is dead or dying to me is if it were to be taken offline entirely. The fact that John Doe Jr., with his dupes and hacked mag decides to cancel his Hunter's Liscense, has no bearing on myself or how I am going to continue playing Phantasy Star Online. Also, one could argue that as numbers depleat it increases chances that the game would get taken offline by sonic team. However, its already been shown that the only way they would take it offline is if it got as low and horrible as the US pso situation got. DC JP and EU pso's are still online. So GC versions will be online for a long while, plenty of time for myself and everyone else to get their fill. |

yeah, the one night I saw was pretty bad which is why I asked it. This morning, there was well over 100 US players and 1000 Japanese players, so its perfectly fine. | |||

Chile, those numbers in the morning are very good actually, think about it, not a lot of US players are on because it's the morning but tons of JP because that's there late night and good time for them to play | |||

YOu know, you are perfectly right. The reason why the numbers have dropped is because all the dupers are gone almost. I remeber half the teams used to be about duping, and I haven't seen a single one of them after coming back!

Yea but, come on, your friends don't account for all causes of fluxuation in online player counts. Unless you have hundreds of friends
